Ru Kiln ranks first among the five famous kilns of the Song Dynasty, specially fired for the imperial court, and is renowned for its sky blue glaze color of "the sky blue after rain where the clouds break". Its glaze surface has cracks like crab claws or ice, the body is fragrant gray, and it uses the "full-glaze wrapped-foot sesame-nail support firing" process. With less than 100 pieces passed down, there is a saying that "even with ten thousand taels of wealth, it is not as good as a piece of Ru porcelain". Ru Kiln is not only the peak representative of Song Dynasty aesthetics but also a dream treasure for collectors throughout history with its "implicit and introverted" temperament.
